The original. Twelve seats became sixty, and it's still home.
This is where it started: a twelve-seat counter on George Street in 2017, with Kenji Mori cooking and one person on the floor. The promise was simple. We cook for you, not for a menu template.
We've knocked through two walls since then, but the counter is still there and Kenji is still behind it most nights. The local chapter here is the dishes that nearly made the core menu, plus a few staff meals that guests kept asking about. The head office is upstairs.
Head chef — Kenji Mori
What's different here
The same core kitchen as every Yuzu, plus the things only North Strathfield does.
The original counter
Twelve seats at the pass, first-come first-served. Watch the kitchen and ask Kenji anything.
Private dining room
Seats 16 at one table, with its own set menu from $75 per person. Book two weeks ahead for weekends.
Noodle kitchen
Every ramen noodle for all five venues is made here at 5am. Come early and you'll smell it.
Inside North Strathfield
Bring everyone.
Groups up to 30 in the main room, or 16 in the private room.
Set menus are built from the core menu plus this venue's local chapter, so the table gets the best of both. Tell us about allergies when you book and the kitchen will plan around them.
Other Yuzu venues
Same core menu, different local chapter.
